Yogyakarta, May 14, 2024 – Universitas ‘Aisyiyah (UNISA) Yogyakarta proudly held the opening ceremony of the student exchange program with Mahidol University, Thailand. This event took place on May 14, 2024, at the UNISA Yogyakarta campus and was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences UNISA Yogyakarta, the Head of the Bureau of Cooperation and International Affairs, lecturers from the Physiotherapy Professional Education Program UNISA Yogyakarta, as well as the exchange students participating in the program.

The event began with a warm welcome from the Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences UNISA Yogyakarta, Moh. Ali Imron, S.Sos., M.Fis, who emphasized the importance of this student exchange program in strengthening academic and cultural relations between Indonesia and Thailand. “We are very pleased to welcome students from Mahidol University. This exchange is not just about classroom learning, but also about understanding different cultures and perspectives, which is very important in today’s global world,” said Imron.

The delegation from Mahidol University, students from the Faculty of Physical Therapy, also delivered their remarks. They expressed their enthusiasm for this collaborative opportunity and hoped to make the most of this experience. “We hope this program will provide us with new insights and expand our professional network,” said the Mahidol University delegation.

The event continued with presentations from each university regarding their study programs, facilities, and the activities that the students will undertake during the exchange period. The students were also given the opportunity to introduce themselves and share their expectations for the program.

This student exchange program will last for three weeks, during which students from Mahidol University will attend lectures, participate in clinical practice, and engage in various cultural activities. It is hoped that through this program, students will not only gain valuable academic knowledge but also rich and unforgettable life experiences.

The opening ceremony concluded with a group photo, where all participants and guests had the chance to get to know each other better and build close relationships. With the success of this opening ceremony, UNISA Yogyakarta and Mahidol University are committed to continuing to support and develop this student exchange program in the future, to create a generation of professionals who are competent and globally minded.
